Sweet's Meats started in 2020 selling plates to keep a community space in New Orleans open and available as an event space. Last year during the aftermath of Hurricane Ida, Sweet pulled out his flat top and started cooking up any and everything people brought him. Using the food in people’s homes that would go bad without power, Sweet was serving hot food for free for his community outside The New Orleans Phoenix. Sweet, along with his partner and friends, cooked out there for 4 weeks, providing an actual hot meal to those in a  city without power. Sweet serves his community first and has proven time and again how important community is to him.

That passion for feeding his community continues as a business, but be sure that if ever there is a need to help the community, Sweet will be there in an instant. You can find Sweet popping up all over New Orleans in bars, nightclubs, burlesque shows, drag shows, and you can even hire him for your private events.
